The kids' suite - complete with bunk beds, a tent, puzzles, and even a kids' toothbrush - has struck a chord with families, one calling it "worth every penny." The Tea Tree Spa and a shuttle to the old town every two hours round out the practical perks. That said, there are two things worth knowing before you book. First, some sea-facing rooms pick up noise from a neighbouring nightclub until around 3am, prompting experienced guests to advise "book a city view instead." Second, reports of mustiness and damp - mostly around the 10th floor - persist even after the renovation. Breakfast offers plenty of variety, but many guests say restocking can't keep up at peak times, and both Google and TripAdvisor settle at around 4.1-4.2 - "good, but not perfect."
